Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using SOC Lab. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using SOC Lab ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Description of Service
SOC Lab is a cybersecurity training platform providing:
- Interactive Security Operations Centre (SOC) training scenarios
- Mock interview practice with AI-powered scoring
- Quizzes, timed challenges, and skill assessments
- Learning resources for Blue Team cybersecurity professionals
The Platform is intended for educational and training purposes only. Content is designed to simulate real-world security scenarios in a controlled learning environment.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- One account per person — sharing accounts is not permitted
- Users must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform
4. Subscription and Payments
SOC Lab offers free and paid subscription tiers:
- Free Plan: Limited access to scenarios and features at no cost
- Monthly Plan: Full access to all features, billed every 30 days
- Annual Plan: Full access to all features, billed once per year at a discounted rate
Web (soclab.in): Payments are processed securely via Razorpay, supporting UPI, debit/credit cards, and net banking. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable taxes.
Android App: Subscriptions purchased through the SOC Lab Android application are processed exclusively via Google Play Billing. By subscribing through the Android app, you agree to Google Play's Terms of Service in addition to these Terms. SOC Lab does not handle or store any payment card details for Android purchases — all billing is managed entirely by Google.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings (Android) or through your SOC Lab account settings (web).
5. Refund Policy
Web Subscriptions (Razorpay):
- Monthly subscriptions: Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase if you have accessed fewer than 3 scenarios
- Annual subscriptions: Refunds may be requested within 14 days of purchase if you have accessed fewer than 5 scenarios
- No refunds after the above periods or after significant platform usage
- Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method
- To request a refund, email support@soclab.in with your registered email and reason
Android Subscriptions (Google Play):
- Refunds for purchases made via Google Play are governed by Google Play's refund policy
- You may request a refund directly from Google Play within 48 hours of purchase
- After 48 hours, refund requests must be submitted to SOC Lab at support@soclab.in — we will work with Google on your behalf but cannot guarantee approval beyond Google's standard policy
- SOC Lab does not issue independent refunds for Google Play purchases — all billing adjustments are processed through Google

6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the platform's source code
- Share your account credentials with others or sell access to the Platform
- Use the Platform to develop competing products or services
- Attempt to circumvent any access controls or subscription restrictions
- Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the Platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's servers or infrastructure
7. Intellectual Property
All content on SOC Lab — including scenarios, questions, scoring rubrics, UI design, and training materials — is the exclusive intellectual property of SOC Lab and its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for personal training purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written permission.
8. Educational Disclaimer
SOC Lab scenarios simulate real-world cybersecurity situations for educational purposes. The techniques, tools, and methodologies discussed are provided solely for defensive security training.
Users must not apply knowledge gained from the Platform to perform unauthorized access to systems, networks, or data. Misuse of security knowledge for malicious purposes is a violation of these Terms and applicable laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- Training content will guarantee employment or certification outcomes
- All scenario content reflects the most current real-world security practices
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SOC Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or career outcomes.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Platform in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will end at the conclusion of the current billing period.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of jurisdiction in India. If you are accessing from outside India, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
